Its hard to review Rango without comparing it to Gore Verbinski's previous endeavor, Pirates of The Caribbean: at World End; so I will compare them. The story is about a nameless lizard who was in a car crash and ended up traveling to the strange town of Dirt. It never rains ware they are so, water acts as currency, In the mean time the lizard comes in to the saloon and claims to be a blood thirsty killer and calls himself Rango. After a series of detailed events Rango and the townspeople go to find "the" water. And I think the whole focus around water is miraculously entertaining. Hans Zimmer created the soundtrack and, well... lets just say you WILL be singing it in the shower and if not, you will every where. It does sound a bit like the dark knight's soundtrack, but the dark knight's soundtrack was very very epic so I guess I can complain. although I could swear there are carbon copy scenes from pirates 3 (particularly the slow paced, boring white desert scenes). Overall Rango is slow paced and boring at times ,but the soundtrack and search for water saves the movie, as well as the comedic touch. overall this movie is extremely entertaining and you will want to watch it NOW. I give it a 8/10.
